This article describes a commonly encountered error observed when starting the OVA 5100 or OBR 4600 software, particularly for the first time on a new computer system.
When the OVA or OBR software initializes, it checks for an existing calibration file in a specific file location. This file is overwritten any time a new calibration is performed with the instrument. If it is not found upon startup, the user will see an error message as shown below.
The user can simply bypass this message by clicking 'OK' and proceeding to Calibrate the instrument.
When Luna sets up and ships new instruments, along with a controller laptop, the laptop is set up with software, drivers, and a calibration is performed both to check calibration functionality and ensure that a calibration file exists. If a new computer system is used, or the calibration file is deleted, this error may re-appear.
